Michael Mercer should get an award for integrating "BBQ" in a curse. LOL!

Andre Marc writes now for PFO?

There are quite a few writers "on the masthead" who weren't represented; are their choices yet to come?

Myles, it appears from the photo that the King/Cello preamp does not have VU meters, which Tony Ky Ma seemed to feel are important for correct playback (at least of his tapes)? Can you comment on that please?

I think that Charlie can provide meters if desired. But they're not absolutely necessary for playback. Recording is another matter.

Not sure what Tony's reason was but no, they aren't unless you want to check hotness. Tony's tapes do come in different webers and you do need to match for head gain and electronics headroom. But that's not an issue with Charlie's unit.

Some like Tim de can use the meters also for alignment but that's not necessary.

Hey ack:

I have been contributing to PFO for over 3 years now. I have done
many product write ups, concert reviews, and interviews. :)

OK; it's just that your signature only mentions Tone

Hey Myles,
is John sure the DanaCable Sapphire Reference is not a bicycle lock chain? :)
Just kidding but that close up sure reminds me of a locking chain for a push bike hehe.
Cheers
