Today, I ordered a tape from reel to reel tapes Russia. They claim to work officially with Melodiya. I know Melodiya has a great master tape archive that is untapped. Lets hope they become accessible. Here is the quote on their website. "This release is issued from the original master tapes provided by Firma Melodiya for the company Reel to Reel tapes Russia®."

The copy I bought is 1/4" and 15ips. Here is a link to what I have ordered.

I will follow up with their shipment and product quality when I receive one.

Interesting...there appears to be leader on this title.

Here is a recording of Mozart tape. I did not have the chance to check it, just recorded and uploaded, hope there are no problems. The recording is from my listening spot via iphone XR.

This is fantastic. What amps are you using?

Can you please play something with piano and then tympani?

I am using modified Line Magnetic 503pa monoblocks with Acme 845, we replica + 300b. I have changed the coupling caps to Duelund cast and all signal resistors have been changed to Audio Note Tantalums.

What cart and phono do you have now?

I am now using Miyajima Madake on a 4 point arm. My preamp is Transrotor phono 8 mc sym. On this video the tape is playing through my Studer a807.

This tape has leaders before each separate track as well at the beginning of course.

Very nice, picturing the full Barshai Shostakovich Symphony cycle on tape right now, drool!
