Ok… I’m starting again in order to have concise opinions, with which speakers would You pair a SPEC “Real Soul” integrated amplifier? Either RSA-777EX or RSA-M99?

Thanks.

The RSA-M99 is a superb amp! With ref to power it is not like ordinary Class D designs. Which means you should pair it with speakers with a stable and not low impedance. Which speaker is impossible to say, depends on room and taste. I have a weak spot for Harbeth that should go very well with the M-99. They are an easy load despite off their lowish sensitivity. Very natural sounding with a midrange to die for.

Personally? Devore, Neat Acoustics, or JM Reynaud not necessarily in that order.

All the best with your quest!

I had the RSA-777EX on loan. Now I own the RSA-M99 and it drives the Vivid Audio Giya G4 fabulously. In my opinion the RSA-M99 is a big step up compared to its smaller sibling. Paring the RSA-M99 with the Bespoke preamplifier is yet a step up, to my ears. Incredibly dynamic and detailed, but timbre a little bit to the warm side, so it never becomes fatiguing.

Compared with Accuphase E4000 or E800?

These are much more powerful amplifiers first of all where E-4000 is Class A/B and E800 Class A.

Spec is more pure and refined but do share some of the natural characteristics with Accuphase.

On a side note:
As a «fan» of Spec I would like to mention their dac as well. Superbly natural sounding device. I have been using it for more than 3 years now with zero issues.
