If one actually watched the playoffs it was obvious that when Florida gets to its game they frustrate the opposition, force turnovers, make them play defense for long stretches and make them make errors that result in scoring chances and eventually goals. This is how they play, physical, hard on every puck, try to win every race and get every loose puck. Oilers don't want to play that way and Florida made them play a game they can't.
Three peat?
When the Cats traded Huberdeau and Weigar for Chucky my son was upset as he thought the Panthers gave up too much. Hubie was one of his favorite players. What I told him is the Panthers got the best player and therefore they will win the trade. Since that time 3 straight cup finals and two cups. Both the Lightning and Panthers have great organizations, are excellent judges of talent and basically win every trade they make. As an old school Ranger fan before coming to Florida the Bolts have fleeced the Rangers so much they should get arrested for it.
The teams with the most money like Toronto and New York can't buy a cup and its certainly not a tax thing.
Florida the hockey capital of the world, deal with it! LOL
Well I can't disagree with you since I have already said much the same thing about the excellent Panther organization. Ditto for the Lightning. Money alone can't buy you a championship that is for sure!
Being a Calgary fan I definitely have to agree that Florida got the best player. The Flames would have liked to have signed Chucky but he made it clear he didn't wish to remain with them. Florida sunshine and oh yes that other thing ...and probably numerous other considerations made the trade inevitable.
Hubie had a rough start in Calgary but I have to give him credit he has worked hard to become an all around player and an asset to the team. Weimar is developing into a top caliber defence man! Still Chucky is a winner; offensively talented, defensively responsible and incredibly abrasive and determined! Championship caliber!
The Lightning and the Panthers are both Championship teams and winning organizations! They are both in Florida so yeah I can see you proclaiming it the hockey capital of the world. I could give some reasoned arguments but life is to short lol! Nice to discuss this with another knowledgeable hockey fan!
Leon 1.33 Connor 1.16. And , ignoring that Barkov won the Selke again , now 3 times, and Reinhardt was a finalist this year guess they were just going to rollover and let them do whatever they wanted. Couple that with overall team defense, balanced offense and a goalie who will enter the HOF and you have a winning combination that the Oilers couldn't match. Have a good day
Whatever. Try though to get through your head that neither the USA nor Canada wins the Cup , all of the teams are a multi national compliment of players. It's not a difficult concept to understand

I can understand your sensitivity in this matter. Canada not winning since 1993 must be painful every year around this time. The good news is Canada is up 2-1 against FL in the Calder Cup.

Whatever floats your boat my man with your nonsense NHL country narrative . BTW I am an American , I save my country rooting for when we send a team to the Olympics, World Championship. World Junior, U18s, or this year the 4 Nations. From and NHL perspective I'm a Rangers fan and if they aren't playing for the Cup I don't care what NHL team wins it nor where the team is located. Done wasting time responding to you
