New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

i always felt that the 4 month late off followed by the reboot in the bubble would lead to surprise upsets and surprise teams emerging

Right now its about as exciting as it can get in the East and the West is just chugging along to an anticipated Cripps-Lakers showdown. Right now however the Rockets are suggesting otherwise and as long as they are as fast and feisty as last night and play defense the Lakers could be gone in the second round. I have always felt that the Rockets match up best against the Lakers and always play tough. Could this be a "sign of the times?" as upsets are going to happen with the Bucks being the first

I saw a brief video with Giannis saying he believes the Bucks can overcome this.

The Rockets seem to play defense by anticipation. They either tap to intercept or strip to prevent a shot by the bigs because they know they are small and that is the best way to defend those with a 5 inch height advantage. And their transition game is excellent, once they get a loose ball, steal or rebound, they are on their tracks, and they have 3 snipers out there positioned and waiting for the ball if there is no penetration from Harden or Westbrook. I wonder if coach Thibs was lurking behind that Rockets bench, as we all know it cannot be D'Antoni calling the defense. :D

I listened to Reggie Miller being interviewed by Dan Patrick. Took place yesterday before the Lakers - Rockets game.

Reggie says the era of the big man is over. He knows more about the NBA than I do. So, you and he could be right....and I could be wrong. ;)

We just have to consider the exit of Philly which has one of the top big man in the league in Embiid. Heat and the Celtics have small converted centers, KAT has not made an impact so far. My own thinking is that if these big men were to come back and dominate the league again, the 3 point arc should be removed. :D for one thing the Celtics lost because of that arc with .5 seconds. :D

The Rockets struggled to get past OKC in 7 games so I wouldn't let their first game victory against the Lakers count for too much.

There will be upsets Mike. We know one for sure and possibly 2 others

really won't matter as Clipps are the heir apparent

If Celtics don't get serious about today's game and let the Raptors back in it, all bets are off because I would personally give the edge to the Raptors.

Celts need to win today

If Celts don’t up their pace I fear the Raptors can even this series and that blown game can come back to haunt the Celts

Both teams are evenly matched. Can go either way.

Celtics virtually has no bench depth. Ibaka is a killer off the bench.

Still too close to call

Raptirs look like they will hold on for the win as Van Vleet nails 3 treys.

Raptors are going to even this series and the last 0.5 seconds will haunt them if they lose this series

The way things look, Celtics cannot beat the Heat or Bucks even if they advance. Ainge has work to do.
