My Little Barn

@dcc Your collection and storage solution is inspiring. Media storage is becoming a growing concern for me as well — I’ve managed to triple my record collection in the past year, even though I’ve been very selective… lol! The last thing I want is for my room to end up looking like Michael Fremer’s in a few years.

I just can't stand clutter in the house and in the listening room.

I have been doing some tube rolling on my Phasemation power amps lately.

I swapped the GE VT4C for Elrog ER211 on the Phasemation MA-5000. Thomas Mayer was higly responsive and I received the tubes within a few days. I won't be turning back: more details, a wider and deeper soundstage as well as fabulous bass. Maybe, I should have picked the ER242 directly. They will certainly be on my list for 2026.

I also get two pairs of Takatsuki 300B and a pair of Takatsuki 2A3 to replace the stock tubes on the Phasemation MA-2000. There as well, the change is everything but subtle.

Hello dcc,

Sonic glossary attributes like details and sound-stage and bass aside which tube sounds more organic, more natural, more like a live person singing in front of you, more like live music?

Thank you.
