Hi, everyone, i have a problem with recently aquired Micro seiki BL51 turntable equipped with CF1 tonearm. I took my new Grado opus 3 cartridge from old turntable ( it was playing very good on it) and put it on Micro. The sound produced was very muddy, overly bassy and without any highs, apsolutely not for listening. Upon taking the arm out, this morning, I noticed that both the main tube and counterbalance axes are loose in the central barrel, that holds VTF adjuster and bearings. Previously I did setup of the cartridge propperly, with protractors and micro scales, everything was per specs, vtf was set at 1.9 grams. So now, I have to adress the loose tubes issue. Does anyone know how to take apart the bearings barrel and fit the tubes properly? Any help is appreciated, Niksa.
