It's not every day you get to see and listen to a top of the line speaker especially the M9. Some pictures for you to feast. I admit I am not a Magico fan boy but the sound of these, even with only 50hrs of running in was effortless. I also like the look of these more than the other models. Now if only they do them in pink...

Yes I did listen to the XVX. There is, imo, quite a vast gap between the two. I should state that I am not a major fan of either brand so no bias towards either of them. The XVX was nice, pleasant, nothing was wrong with it but didn't really do anything emotionally. May be the Decepticon looks have something to do with it.
The M9s have a quite extraordinary delicacy which belies the look and size. I heard more from the M9s on some of my tried and tested CDs than I have ever heard in thousands of repeats but it was never annoying and never gave me the feel of something being high resolution. It was very pleasant sounding. That might sound like damning praise but I assure you it is not. I hate gear that tries too hard and gives you a headache. Bass was not overwhelming even with dual 15 inch woofers. With only 50hrs on them I expect them to loosen up over the next few months but I have to admit the sound so far is more than satisfactory. I would recommend everyone to go and listen if you get the chance. I never felt any of this with the XVX. The owner did comment that the XVX only need one pair of monoblocks so the real price difference is substantial if you add in the cost of an extra pair of Goldmund 5500. Such is the price of admission I guess.
