Trying out the Luna Cable Mauve USB (blue over the weekend) and must say it does make a positive difference over my WireWorld Starlight 7 cable.

Anyone else had good experience with Luna?

Why is this company producing cables "the old way" successful in their sound? Someone that can explain the physics behind the success?

Hi Calloway,
So did you stay with the red cables?
I understand they are seriously heavy and well made, but tinned copper isn't exactly high tech. Would be nice to understand some more of their principles, why they went this way, and why they believe their methods is outperforming those of others. They are after all somewhat of an investment. 1500 EUR for a 2.5m USB cable...

If you Google Positive Feedback there are articles about tinned copper Duelund caps and wires. I don’t think we fully understand the metallurgy behind why they sound great.

Since my crossover and speaker cables is entirely wired with Duelund tinned copper and silver, it seemed like a no brainer to go with Luna for the preamp to amp XLR. I have ordered the Noir and Rouge (for the tape source).

BTW, reminded first hand how big of a difference cables make: I replaced the Metaxas ENOIS (which sound really good but are not actually balanced) with a Mogami 2534 balanced cable. While the Mogami does the job, the life and musicality is gone. The highs and lows are rolled off, and the timing is not quite right. They are somewhat fatiguing, which it never was with the DartZeel 50ohm or the Metaxas. If all you had was the Mogami, you wouldn’t notice what you’re missing.

Pricewise, the Mogami is literally 1/100 of the price of the Luna Noir!
The ENOIS is great value at about 1/10 the price of the Luna Noir.
I actually think the Luna is reasonably priced. You can go A LOT higher for a silver interconnect.

Sure, will do!
Note that Audiolund makes XLR cables (or any type of cable) using Duelund wires: https://audiolund.com/shop/66-flagship-series-xlr-balance-interconnect-cable-occ-silver-duelund/

I have ordered a couple of AC cords from Audiolund and they are great to deal with.

The Audiolund cables are similar but not the same as the Lund. Ideally you would compare both. The Lund use fewer and thicker gauge cables and pure silver, as well as tinned copper. They are recommended by Nagra, so that was good enough for me.
Audiolund cables are less expensive though and may be just as good.

Maybe you can send an email to them ( lunacables@gmail.com )and ask your questions. They respond very quickly.
I’m very happy with my Luna Cable. And it’s built here in Québec. So it’s a big plus for me.
