The price of the new Destination Audio Tube DAC is $36,000 USDWow. Looks amazing.... And congrats @Lukasz "Lampizator" Fikus and Destination Audio!!
I imagine a few folks will be wondering how this compares to the Horizon and Poseidon?
Also, any price range/options yet?
Gorgeous looking....

From what I understand Lukasz is very good friends and a countryman with Sam (Destination Audio). I doubt very much he would be designing something which puts himself in competition with him selfWait what now?! I’d have an easier time cracking the block chain than understanding the Lampizator product strategy/gamma.
It is not at all uncommon for designers (especially within the same country) to collaborate in order to get products that either operate at a different price point or fill needs of a particular niche.Wait what now?! Wasn't aware of this in general, but yes, absolutely cool in my book too.It is not at all uncommon for designers (especially within the same country) to collaborate in order to get products that either operate at a different price point or fill needs of a particular niche.
The digital engine in Allnic DACs for example, is designed by Waversa (both are South Korean companies).
At the lower end of the spectrum, Lampizator have also previously collaborated with the also Polish company, Fezz Audio, for their DAC: https://fezzaudio.com/en/produkt/gratia-mm-mc-kopia-kopia-3/
All cool, in my book...![]()
Two brilliant engineers (only one actually). One question. No answer.Any actual design specifics other than an increased number of transformers (the Arthur C Clarke reference was funny....bueno)? I have an early Destination dac (thanks Art) and it's good. I know the boards are different....dual mono, etc.
Unlikely to get an answer. Schematics for the one you have are likely non-existent for comparison, I asked for them multiple times. It took 4 years of that unit going back and forth across the ocean, with delay upon delay, to get it to finally work properly. Definitely not quality engineered in.Two brilliant engineers (only one actually). One question. No answer.
