Just read the book and can't wait for the Ang Lee film to be released for Thanksgiving....

Can't wait for the XXX version, "Life of Fur Pi".

My wife and I saw the 3-D version this weekend. Visually a gorgeous movie with the best use of 3-D I've seen. Really enhances the story telling rather than overwhelming it. Ang Lee did a magnificent job bringing the book to the screen. Highly recommended, even if you haven't read the book and would be a good movie for young adults.

I saw the movie yesterday and I must admit that not having read the book I was pleasantly surprised by this wonderful story with an ending that brings it all home

At just over 2 hours the film is just long enough. Saw it in 2D and the color and cinematography was simply wonderful. The young man playing Pi is a pleasant relief as he is "the story"

This film almost certainly will garner many nominations including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director

I'll bet that you would enjoy the book...

So behind on the latest movies ... still need to see Bond, Bilbo and certainly Quentin's latest, plus some animated obscure french film about suicide. However, I might just see Life first.

All that you've mentioned should be seen

BTW Skyfall has grossed over $1B worldwide

I would love to know how Ang Lee did all of those scenes with those animals on the boat

I'm sure they weren't on the boat with Pi.

Animals were all computer generated....

They looked it on many occasions in the sizing of the Bengal tiger but all in all very well done

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this film
