You mean your EML 45 Globe failed or the EML 45 Globe is your favorite?Mine is 45 EML Globe even though we are talking RK
I have the very rare EML 45 mesh Anniversary Globes but in my systems I prefer other tubes, so they get very little play time.

KR PX 25 is my second best choice - thanks to Christoph
KR 242 were very good - dynamic and transparent but with too much gain in my systems with AGs, even with Pacific set on low gain position.
One of my KR 300 B RK failed after 7 months , RK 5u4g and other KR tubes did not .
Rodney is a huge hoarder of tubes which end like on the picturewhat is this?
is definitely nicer than collecting coffee cups
Couldn't agree moreis definitely nicer than collecting coffee cups?
This is why a good collection of differing triode choices is very important. The 242 don't sound right in your set up, so that is not representative of how they sound. I thought the PX25s did not sound like they should either. PX25 sounded sublime with UK Paul's Martin Logan set up where he used concert fidelity electronics. The Lampi 45s did not sound right in Christoph's when I heard them in his set up then with the Odeons. They sounded really good in yours. There are all downstream electronic matches.
Mind you I only had 4 tubes before I met Goran .Rodney is a huge hoarder of tubes which end like on the picture…
This shelf is a excellent idea for decoration
Way to small for you my friend - you need an entire wall minimumThis shelf is a excellent idea for decoration
Yes, a tube rack next to the wine rack would look niceAll my tubes are neatly organized in boxes. I like the wall display much better.
