What is the sonic character of the Melius. How are the dynamics and bass if working with a speaker it can drive?

Has a good sound because el 34 is a transparent and natural tube
Has agood and deep bass,very good mid and high with no roll pff like some tube 300 B

It has a SET-like character. When Kondo introduced the integrated version, they didn’t mention the topology, and everyone assumed it was a SET amp playing. They even demonstrated it side by side with an Ongaku to show how good it sounds.

IME, the Melius is an excellent amplifier, but I can’t say the same about the Horning Hybrid speakers. Sorry.

The Hornings will be here at least for now. They certainly are not as efficient as they claim to be in my experience. I certainly wasn't able to use them effectively with a Tron Telestar 211 amp with 12 watts.

Efficiency is the least of my concerns with Hornings—the real issue is their sound character. I certainly wouldn’t consider putting them on my list.

I heard it. IMHO it is slightly less worse than Euphrodite.

Because Horning Euphrodite is at the top of my worst sounding speakers list and followed by Escalante Design Fremont.

What is on your list of "good" sounding speakers. Something to consider if used with the Melius.

Any speakers you like will work very well with Melius as long as they’re around/over 90dB and a relatively easy load.
