JRiver does not recommend JPLAY, but there are thousands of people using it without issues. If your version of JRiver is before 20.0.0.44 you can use it. On later builds it does not appear at all in JRiver, you have to use foo_asio_dsd plugin as workaround.
Then you can only use it with foo_dsd_asio plugin and then jplay will become available. However if you really care about sound quality I recommend trying JPLAY via JPLAYmini (basic interface) or via JPLAYStreamer. Some people use it on top of Roon too.

Yes. JPLAYStreamer supports Tidal via BubbleDS app on android tablet/smartphone. Directly on PC you can use JPLAY to improve Tidal via Roon or ASIOBridge. All options are described in manual on our website.
