If you want to take a spin at the price - go for it.

That said there are some very good bargains out there already - Sierra s1 - I am told is superb - kef ls50...

If these guys do oem speakers for an established manufacturer u may be onto a winner - so do some research

But don’t look at spec sheets alone in evaluating a products - valve amps are a superb example of an engineering bumblebee - they shouldn’t work brilliantly but they often do (bumblebees shouldn’t fly apparently)

Look at the Elac line designed by Andrew Jones. Great sound for the price (as low as $299 a pair). Consistently rated the best sound for the money.

They are very pleasing on the ears. For the price they're crazy good.

Used vintage tannoys. Devons, cornetta, cheviots, monitor golds, depending on budget and taste. Devons and cheviots used upto 1k GBP, pretty large sounding and punchy and more natural than modern day Canterbury. These have 12 inch hpd drivers. Put in gold drivers and you get a bit more relaxed, pleasant sound (for those who feel hpd is aggressive), less bass. With red you get 16 ohms. Price doubles from hpd to gold to red because latter are more vintage. Reds were made in pre stereo era so you effectively have a set of two mono speakers.

There is a company in Germany called Fishhead Audio who build high quality speakers using AMT tweeters, carbon fiber cones, neodymium magnets etc & look contemporary. They achieve incredible value by selling direct. They have a 3-way bookshelf speaker which is only €799 and comes with a warranty. So the only real "buts" I can see are a/ you can't audition them and b/ they're inneficient @85db, 4 ohms nominal sensitivity (with a 3.5 ohm floor @480Hz). The above link is in German, so you need to open it up in Chrome using the translator fyi.

The Dayton Audio with the Heil and the Elac or Pioneer from Andrew Jones are more the Bookshelf turf. Much cheaper too. Vanatoo is another bookshelf option.

I think you're reading the wrong information, the FA Resolution 1.6's are (WxHxD) 8.6" x 16.5" x 11.8" & weigh 22.7lbs, which makes them large bookshelfs.

I got it from here (ali Baba link above)... 557mm is like 22 inches. and it says 37.46lbs.

No bookshelf is this sturdy!

Value is a relative term, Remember you get what you pay for. Inexpensive is a different call. Now this speaker by Gamut is value. It sells for$21k!

The poor op posed a question about a cheap high spec speaker he was thinking of taking a punt on - the response the wbf forums bold and beautiful opening the floodgates of every possible established alternative at a comparable or cheaper price.
