Introducing Olympus & Olympus I/O - A new perspective on modern music playback

...yes, I run my Olympus into a TT7 conditioner. I believe a few others are using the same set-up.

@ray-dude is one of them and has written about it in his comprehensive Olympus review on AS:
Are you running the Olympus and your network gear into the TT7?

...network gear: T-DCD, T-Router, T-Switch and Synology NAS are on a separate, dedicated 20A line, powered by the Uptone Audio JS-4 linear ps. They are *not* plugged into the TT7.

BTW: even with the batteries and TT7 I am still using that honking-big Shunyata OmegaXC kielbasa of a power cable. Sounds great over here.

I just looked at a pic of the Shunyata cable--you're not kidding. Is the Olympus the only thing you have plugged into the TT7?

Thanks. Im using the TT-7 as well. Both the O and IO are connected to it. I've never experimented with placing them in the wall Bad things happen when I try to swap cables. Because the TT-7 only has 6 outlets, I might need to triage two units into an attached power strip should I add a DAC. I guess I can experiment then.

...I have it on good authority one can plug a good power strip/box into the TT7 and gain a few more outlets that way.

At the moment, I am looking into additional power options for the system. "Currently" the Olympus, four WestminsterLab Rei amps and the WL Quest pre are into the TT7. Whoah, it's chock-full.

The amps for the Foundation Bass amps of the Von Schweikert VR5s are into an old PSAudio power box of some sort.

Jim Weil mentioned that Sound Application has (or will have) a companion power strip to the TT-7, which he claims will make it better. I don't think he's marketed it. He wants $10K. Im not ready to entertain that. I'm holding onto the Everest that the TT-7 replaced until I figure out next steps.

Huge fan of VH Audio and Chris!!!!

I am loving Olympus and I/O running through 20amp QBase mk2 w all Odin2 pcs to its own dedicated Oyaide receptacle 20amp line

we know the Extreme loved full dedicated to the wall juice. i wish i could try that here but one dedicated outlet shy. i will try to stromtank 2500 mk2 to see if it gets choked at all vs the qbase

Out of curiosity, has anyone experimented with the Olympus in a power conditioner versus straight into the wall? Given the batteries, I would think it wouldn't matter. But I would have guessed power cables wouldn't matter. I would experiment with it myself, but it involves crawling and the equivalent of taking a machete to electrical flora.
I have plugged my Olympus into a TT7 PGI with power base, the TT7 has been a staple in my setup while other things changed. I do not intend to plug it into the wall ever (lost a few things to thunderstorms here).

...guys were buying milled red-copper chassis from overseas, and adding outlets, star-grounding them for less, but I might well use one of these ready-made solutions and be done with the whole thing:

I use one of those with my TT7, but with the simplified setup that comes with the Olympus, I think I will not need it anymore.

I was on a distributor's site the other day looking for something else and came across this $25K power strip. I know nothing about the strip or the company. But don't understand the use case of choosing this over a second power conditioner, unless this both conditions and shampoos. https://aaudioimports.com/ShowBrand.asp?hBrand=26

Unless it has a built-in ball washer I'm giving that a hard pass.
