Innous 3 stack flagship Nazare (flow + net + server)

It's NAZARE, but pricewise finally probably in the "Big Boys" category like Taiko, Pink Faun, Antipodes...

Indeed, nothing "humble" about it...;)
However, the naturalness of sound, even for a YT video, was off the charts and listening to Nuno explaining the design goals for it and how they tackled everything was enlightening, to say the least.
Colour me impressed...

I will listen to it on Saturday in Munich :)

What I really like is that Innuos left the dumb name STATEMENT and went for NAZARE, one location with the biggest waves in the world. Bravo

What would be interesting is if they implement an XDMI interface so they can plug into the Horizon like Taiko do

I don't think that Innuos have XDMI, this seems to be a Taiko invention.

Looks impressive.
Saying that, the growing trend among audio equipment manufacturers to split single devices into multiple components concerns me. I worry that all these separate boxes might eventually leave no space for audiophiles to sit in the room.

Looks really good. Maybe I missed something, how does the Flow unit connect to the main streamer? Let's say you are connected via ISL to MSB with the module, do you go USB out of the main streamer/player into flow?

- Output – The Nazaré Flow is a dedicated high-performance output stage designed to complement the Nazaré streamer, while remaining fully compatible with any USB audio source. It features a high-precision USB reclocker with synchronized clock connections to internal boards, ensuring accurate signal timing. The Flow also includes on-board I2S output conversion and supports dedicated output modules for proprietary DAC interfaces like MSB ProISL. All components are powered by the latest generation Nazaré PSU architecture, which provides separate, low-noise power rails for the clocks, reclocker, and output boards

Yes the Nazare streamer uses an USB output to NazareFLOW that have the type of output you need i2S, USB, ProISL as a module.

I suppose you could just use the USB on the streamer directly to a DAC and dont use FLOW.

Yes that will be interesting as a comparison, but I would bet it sounds better with the usb out of Flow than the main unit.

Having had great times in the Nazare beach in my childhood I am really curious about this server. I will have more information next week, as soon as people come back from Munich - our dCS distributor is an Innuous dealer.

Keeping an eye on this for sure, potentially to upgrade my Auralic Aries G2.2 down the road a bit.

I'm torn on the multi-box trend with a lot of newer high-end audio. Part of me thinks it really is the best way to achieve absolute top performance. Everything is isolated and separated for lowest noise, and each box can focus on one specialty function to get best results. Makes total sense. I also like that we can buy in stages and sort of upgrade our existing product without changing to a whole different component. That's very welcome imho.

The other (more cynical) part me says it feels like lazy design work, where the more challenging assignment would involve getting everything into one box without compromise. Then there's the inevitable "cash grab" theory where they know affluent customers will buy two or three boxes instead of one, so why not offer those at a higher overall cost?

I am not focusing this at Innuos specifically, more so the industry in general. Regardless, I am very interested in reading up on this new offering once it starts shipping.

I’m wondering if the Flow could be used also with the old Statement server…

That should be possible, the FLOW is much like PhoenixUSB but you get to choose what type of output module to use USB, I2S, Pro ISL, SPDIF.

Some indication on prices from Munich.

Server €40k
NET €16k
FLOW €16k

Yes, the SQ with Nazare was quite good, but they told me the Nazare is 40k and both the Net and Flow are 16k.
A friend of mine, when confronted with the high prices of certain high-end gear, used to say: "Yeah, it's first on my list, if I win the lottery..."
With the Nazare I bet he'd say: "Yeah, it's first on my list if I win the lottery...three times in a row..." ;)
