Hello everyone. My dad passed recently and was a huge McIntosh buff. Audio was his only hobby and took incredible care of his items. I have inherited several pieces of his McIntosh equipment. One of them is a 275 tube amp and I’ll post an update on what the others actually are. I was wondering if anyone could direct me to where I could sale this equipment. Unfortunately, my home does not have room for his home theatre/audio set up. I appologize if this is not an appropriate topic to post for this group. Thank you, Jake.

Welcome to WBF, I'm sorry for your loss. There are 2 sites I would recommend besides the classified section on WBF. The first is US Audio Mart. The second is Audiogon. Audiogon charges a fee, US Audio Mart is free (they do ask for a donation, but it's not required). You can use Hifishark.com to get an idea of what any gear is going for. I sure more recommendations will be coming from other members here.....

Hi Jake

First off , welcome to WBF and so very sorry about your loss

Indeed we have a classified section here and as other members there are certainly other choices to explore. We have a well heeled membership here and many who love and use McIntosh gear

I would like to suggest you place an advert in our classified section and as a sign of good gesture I will refund the money you pay to PayPal for purchase of the ad

Here's the link. https://whatsbestforum.com/classifieds/.....click red button top right that says "ADD Listing"

I will happily refund your purchase......all the best

I would offer them to tmraudio.com just to get their bid.

I would also offer them to paragonsns.com.

Whether you use either or not, you will have two data points, and possibly two firm offers.

FWIW, there are many versions of the mc275, so which version you have will impact the offer.

Sorry to hear that your Dad has passed on.

Thank you for the kind words Steve. As soon as I get the items moved, I will inventory them and place the ad. Thank you, Jake.
