FWIW, Chris Blackwell, who founded Island Records among many other things, has a huge connection to Ian Fleming and Bond. His mom, after she divorced, became Ian Fleming's love interest and was according to some, the inspiration for Pussy Galore. Blackwell owns Flemings' old place in Jamaica, aptly named 'Goldeneye,' I think he has the desk where Fleming wrote, etc.
And FWIW, there is a fascinating book by the same author that wrote Agent Zig Zag, about the true story of the 'Man Who Never Was'- the corpse who was put off the coast of Spain if I recall, with secret papers, pocket litter, etc., all pointing to an invasion from a location other than Normandy,* to distract the Germans. The intelligence team that put the scheme together was a fascinating mix of people, and among them was Fleming, who, if I recall the story, was the one who came up with the idea. They just don't make real spies like they used to.
*Correction, it was a distract from the invasion of Sicily, not Normandy, and the book is called 'Operation Mincemeat.' Great read, as is Agent Zigzag, also based on a true story.
