I was food shopping over the weekend and I heard this very interesting song being piped through..caught my attention because it was not the usual drivel they usually play...I Shazamed it and it turned out to be
Diego Garcia, a cat with two albums. He was in a band called Elephant previously.

I bought his two albums today. Think 60's singer songwriter, a bit of Nick Drake, a bit of Flamenco, Donovan, and more. Check it out.:D

Thanks for the Tiny Desk link.

I've seen him twice at World Cafe Live in Phila. First was in support of his first solo album with an acoustic guitarist and a cellist. Last month I saw him with a full band. Great both times!

Diego also had a very memorable comment the first time I saw him. He said his guitarist, Zeke Zima, had been in Brazil on vacation prior to the tour. Zeke called him to tell him that he had met a woman and would be staying a bit longer. This meant that he wouldn't be able to rehearse for the tour and he had just returned the night before. Diega said that he would rather have an guitarist in love than rehearse any day.
