Alright, so I missed it back in 1977 when it was aired in the States on PBS- and recently got interested in the history of the Empire. Read the first Graves book and starting the second.
What a fabulously acted series. Granted, the production is more like a stage play than something with the flash of Game of Thrones, but the acting is superb.
For those of you who passed it by, as I did, well worth taking the time. We are streaming it via Amazon, but you could probably borrow the DVD set from the local library if you were so inclined.

Haven't gotten that far in the story in the mini-series yet. The actress playing Livia is absolutely, deliciously, brilliantly evil.
