How Much Faith Do You Have in the Legal System?

The PROBLEM is the Drug Laws; all they do is ship money overseas & into large vicious criminal syndicates [and the legal system].
Make almost everything legal & heavily tax it, BUT if you HARM someone or something other than yourself when doing the substance [this includes Alcohol use], then you get thrown out of the USA permanently into a 3rd world nation with the highest crime rate. Once thrown out you can NEVER come back.
When you Harm your body, it is NOT covered by OBAMACARE, you are on your own.

I heard it a few days ago and thought it was mind boggling. I immediately thought of an innocent person wondering how in the heck the results of the drug test had come back positive.
I had absolutely no faith in the legal system BEFORE reading the story.
In a trial the police, prosecutor and judge are all on the same side. Their job is to get a conviction and put the person in jail for as long as possible.
I won't even begin to get into major national and international cover-ups.

This story actually broke some time ago and this woman deserves some serious jail time but I bet she gets none.
People who have money operate under a different legal system than people who don't. If you have to rely upon a public defender, you are screwed. One of my favorite lines from the Lethal Weapon movie that had Chris Rock playing a cop was when he slapped the cuffs on a criminal and read him his rights: "If you can't afford an attorney, we'll hire you the dumbest moth*r Fuc*er on the face of the earth." Funny, but too true.
It isn't perfect but it seems to work at least 51% of the time. That is very good in my book. Must remember that I have the luxury of constantly moving between much different locale. I wouldn't mind that my home country be as "bad" as you have it here in the USA.
Regardless of the country or system there will be such cases, there will be flaws ...Corrections (or at the very least attempts at such) come from uncovering stories like these.
