The Amazon pricing looks strange too as their MP3s are almost always cheaper than the CD. This may be a function of Taylor Swift taking action to get higher royalties on digital.
That is interesting there is a 24-bit option for Taylor Swift album, now I would expect someone somewhere will take a bite at comparing that and the 16-bit version to see if it is really worth the price increase...
Would be very interesting as it is a mainstream pop album, albeit from a talented artist (get glimpses of it from certain tracks-albums).

So I bought the 1989 CD from Amazon. In addition to the CD, it also included the usual booklet and a pack of pictures of TS. Music wise it will not be played again. I had never heard any of her music, and she played locally over the weekend, so I was curious about her music.
i agree that the prices are still too high but if we compare the $15 we used to spend back in the mid 70s for DTD LPs, using the inflation calculators on the net, we will see that we may actually paying less of our hard earned cash than we were then.
that said, i still feel the prices need to come down for the downloads. for physical product, not so much. the ony ones i see as overpriced ard the japanese import SACDs and any XRCDs or MOFIs etc more than $20. even at that, xrcd is still rbcd.
