For Rockport Technologies Fans - New Video

Great company! What’s incredible is that the phone gets picked up by either Josh or Andy whenever you call them. Their support and advice are equally noteworthy and professional. I had a bit of an issue with my left midrange driver and they got it replaced very quickly with excellent instructions on how to replace them.

Very interesting that Rockport produced this nice video!

I guess being less reclusive is part of the company’s new business model.

My favorite Rockport question is: will Andy
build a new Arrakis-type, D’Appolito design using two Lyra speakers?

I hope he does, but I am afraid the answer is “no.”

I can attest to this as well...i have called Rockport, and started speaking with the person at length about the Arrakis. It was only after 20 minutes or so that the person introduced himself as Andy Payor. Incredibly down to earth and of course extraordinarily knowledgeable!

Indeed, the feeling I get as well. When I spoke to Josh a month or so back he introduced himself as the new owner and explained at length his ambition for the company. He did allude to the fact that increased visibility was part of the strategy

Did he suggest or allude to any new product offerings?

He did say something to the effect that there will be new products and that there is a revitalization plan. But no specific reference to any new product. I think he wants to invest in increasing brand recognition first.......not that audiophiles don’t know about the brand but Rockport is otherwise conspicuous by its lack of media presence.
My read is that he clearly wants to scale up the business......
