The Anton Karis zither music sound track to The Third Man is strangely wonderful, although I can't vouch for the vinyl sound quality. I have a ton of Bernard Hermann stuff, i think alot of it was on Phase 4. Psycho, of course. The Mission- the choral Ave Maria is particularly spellbinding. I think Bliss' 'Things to Come' might qualify, I have a bunch of old EMI pressings. There were a bunch on the old HP list that I have, and will have to dig out, including The Silver Chalice? [Sorry, my memory is failing me, one from a John Wayne movie, was it The Searchers? Then there are all those Ennio Morricone soundtracks (apart from the Mission) that he did for the spaghetti westerns, etc. Some great stuff was written for film but became popular music, e.g. Smile, qua Charlie Chaplin. Ditto Johnny Mercer stuff. Always loved the Repo Man soundtrack- early punk. I can go up and dig through the disorganized rows of stuff, but those are all fun, diverse, and each in their own way, wonderful. Oh, i also thought i read somewhere recently that Bladerunner had never been released on vinyl. I seem to have two copies. And what about the Dusty Springfield stuff, leaving aside the Casino Royale soundtrack? Thomas Crowne Affair? (had a famous car in it too).
