A new table just set up in one of our demo rooms. It's a design from my firm. It uses a VPI DD drive system.

I'm not so sure that I agree. I would suggest that the neutrality of the table is allowing you to hear more of the flavor of the cartridge and to a much larger extent now in my experience, the colorations of the phono stage.

Totally agree . That's why I think the VPI DD (direct drive ) is so good (and other tables that might use this particular DD).
