I would agree with JonFo. MartinLogans work best with a specific class of amplifier.

Guess that's not my finding. Works as well with the cj as it does with solid state like Cello. I also heard the new $6000 MLs sound just dandy with the small Primaluna amps. Sounded better than some more expensive speakers at RMAF. Just different pieces of the puzzle.

Yes, the difference between 140, 275 watts of tube power and 1000 watts/solid-state on the Summit-Xs is substantial.
