Engström - new UK distributor

Hi guys, the Engström ERIC Encore is on the cover of the October issue of Hi-fi News!!!

Hope to be able to share more details on here soon.

Cheers,

Guillaume

We are planning a U.K. launch event at KJ West One in Central London on Friday 1st (evening) and Saturday 2nd October (all day). Timo Engström is planning to attend. We will be demonstrating the ARNE integrated in one room and the ERIC Encore monoblocks and MONICA preamp (mk3 version, one of the first production units!) in the big listening room.

Obviously once we have more details we will share them on here. Hoping to see a few of you there!

Cheers,

Guillaume

Two questions...what are the source/spkrs likely to be?
And do they supply snacks/refreshments?

Yes to the second. Good stuff too. Does the first now matter?

It should to Guillaume. He'll probably be too anxious for the choices in my first Q to be good for his amps, to want to even think about eating Lol.

It’s a proper Aladdin’s cave of high end so we’ll have a ton of options, especially on the analogue front. Once I have a better idea of what we will do I will share on here.

The ERIC Encores should be able to drive any speakers but I think some will be surprised by the capabilities of the ARNE integrated. Guildford Audio recently had an ARNE demo with a pair of Sabrina X and apparently the results were very good indeed. Might be fun to try this too.

Last event I did at KJ West One there was plenty of decent wine flowing with nibbles, perhaps this time we should have a Swedish theme? Meatballs and pickled herring anyone? LOL Seriously, KJ West One are pretty good on this front.

Cheers,

Guillaume

Just read the HFN review.

There's the slight matter of £136,950 to ponder on here;)

Nay cheap.

I'm quite familiar with meatballs, even pickled herring.
I do not know Arne so well but last time we met he sang really well...

There's always Jason's sarcasm to look forward to as well ;)

I apologize for my previous post.
I will try to be more serious in the future.

Engström is at least really serious ...

I remember those.

Shot this at Munich 10 years ago.

Awesome system, though the video does it no justice sonically.. One of my faves for that year. If anyone knows what is playing please say.

Really good pairing amp wise, or so it seemed.

The issue with this system was the dispersion. The only way to get the best from it was to stand up!
