There's far too little Japanese jazz here. Okay, it's often overlooked in Europe, or rather, it's sometimes quite unknown. Nevertheless, word should have spread about the outstanding quality of these recordings on labels like Three Blid Mice. At least the album Misty has been seen in pictures from various high-end shows where this record was used as a showcase.
So today, I'm going to talk about the Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio and the limited edition of 1,389 copies of the slipcase Blues For K from the Italian reissue label AudioNautes Recordings. This is the box set I originally ordered from JPC, which was then sent as an untraceable shipment, and after waiting over six weeks, JPC refused to even send a replacement with tracking.
None of the Viennese record stores I contacted still had the box set in stock or could get a copy for me from the wholesaler. So I had to search online again and then ordered from Black Pearls in Hohenstein germany. What can I say? Ordered on Saturday, Mr. Langer took it to the post office on Monday, and it arrived safely and well packaged on Friday of the same week, and now it's on my turntable.

That's what well-run and reliable online retailing looks like.
Yes, the slipcase is well-made and contains an alternative version of Misty, which is a good two minutes shorter. However, I prefer the longer version on the Three Blind Mice LP, both in terms of interpretation and sound. But Audio Nautes still did a great job here.
