Denali v2 vs Everest

Does anyone know the differences between these 2 power conditioners? There is obviously the form factor and outlet count but is the Everest just a bigger Denali?

The form factor of the Everest is not ideal for my setup and the Denali would fit much better. I also only need 5/6 outlets so the Denali would also be fine in that regard. My system does not pull a ton of power with my DarTZeel 108 amp being the biggest power draw.

With all that said, what am I giving up by going the Denali? I would get either a Sigma or Omega power cord with either. I have not really seen a compare that talks about differences other than the physical form factor / outlets.

I initially bought the Denali and found that with a Sigma power cord to the wall and Sigma cords from components to the Denali, there was a marked decrease in noise that was heard as better bass, wider and deeper soundstage and more separation in instruments. I was impressed.
Then, I tried the Everest. There was a significant improvement in all aspects, more of each. In addition, the Everest has four grounding connections which are also beneficial. I eventually upgraded the power cable from the Everest to the wall from a Sigma to an Omega and found that this too made an improvement, although not as much as going from the Denali (with Sigma) to Everest. Note I have all components including my amp plugged into the Everest and a dedicated 20A outlet.

The Everest is better than the Denali, but if you add a Typhon T2 to the Denali, the pair is as good as, if not better, than the Everest. And, no, you can't add a T2 to an Everest (per Shunyata).

Thanks for pointing this out. This option is really interesting. I didn’t know this was an option. It will also me a much better form factor for my application. I am going to look into this a little more. I like that it gives options for the Amp as well to see if it’s better to the Typhon or the Denali.

Typhon T2 inbound. Just need to find a Denali. Thanks!

How do you connect aTyphon t2 to a Denali 6000sv2?

They make an umbilical cable to connect them.

I concur on this statement. Omega power cords and grounding cables connected to both power products.

Any thoughts on the Hydra Triton V3 vs the Denali 6000 v2? In either case it would be paired with a Typhon T2.

I used the V3 with a Typhon for a couple of years and enjoyed it. But eventually I found the Typhon to make the sound a bit too slow in my system. I came to appreciate the Triton V3 by itself and used it that way for awhile. I haven't tried any of the newer generation power products by Shunyata other than demoing some of the Omega cables so I can't help with a comparison to the Denali or Everest.

I can’t say how the Denali compares to the Everest, but I can say that according to Richard at Shunyata, there are several improvements to the Everest, such as a much bigger “QR/BB” module for plugging high powered amps in, as well as the built-in grounding system for several components. What I can say is that the Everest was transformative in my system. Everything has a perfect black background, and the soundstage, which was wide but not very deep, now has that depth to it so that everything has a 3D quality to it. In short, the Everest is a rather pricey addition, even used, when you add in the appropriate power cords to it of at least a Sigma XC if not an Omega XC, but it appears to have elevated my system to a perfect point! A highly recommended addition.

I do not have, nor never have heard a Shunyata Everest in my kit. But as I have mentioned earlier, I do run (two) Denali V2, one with a T2 in my system. Because my power amplifiers/loudspeakers are located on an adjacent wall to the rest of my source gear, this predicates two mains collector/processors (ground tethered together). And I can only say that the difference between having these in my system and out of my system, there is no comparison(.) The increased micro-dynamics, soundstage, air, textural detail, the delicacy of the performance, I can’t overstate this, the utter effortless presentation is truly remarkable. No going back.

I currently use Triton V3 in my main listening room (switch, endpoint and active speakers), plus Denali 6000 v1 with Alpha NR cord elsewhere for other items, including the network server and NAS. Between it's fully-developed, independent outlets and grounding system, the Triton is noticeably quieter. Denali is no slouch, however; my front theater speakers love their 2000T.

If you haven't already talked with Shunyata, you'll find them to be a great resource. Again, "send a note to richard@shunyata.com and he can help you."

Do you run your amps directly from the T2?

I've read a few user comments about the overall impact of the T2 and they span a wide range from meh to gotta have it. That isn't unusual for user comments, but not typical of Shunyata gear.

In my simple setup, everything is plugged into the Denali v2 and the difference is in line with what you wrote.

Yes, indeed I do plug mono blocks directly into the T2 and signature umbilical cord jumps to the Denali v2 and mains supply into T2

does anyone know what is coming to replace the Denali V2 as I believe it has been discontinued in the UK?
