I remember taking a bus from Manhattan to Buffalo just after the California Earthquake in '89. At the time, I had a roommate who was a big fan of Pete Seeger, but I didn't know what Pete looked like. I was sitting on the bus, waiting for it to fill and leave. A guy got on and asked me the time. I said that I didn't know. He sat behind me and proceeded to play the banjo, which kind of annoyed me. Someone got on and as he passed me I heard him say, "Hey. Are you Pete Seeger?" Missed opportunity on my part. D'oh! I think that he had been coming back from a benefit concert. R.I.P., Pete.

treasures would have solicited a larger response. Hell the response on a small local forum here in Australia was ten times the
