You have no idea what u have using Transparent cables...slow, veiled, uninvolved.. actually the Transparent house sound since they left MIT.....
Don't wanna start brand wars here. But I believe your post deserves a couple of points to consider:
Your post is irrelevant with DCS Vivaldi, that is #1. When someone is bashing a brand like Transparent, he better provides which other cable brands he prefers or thinks better and why including how he tried those, #2. Everyone of us has different tastes and preferences, what suits or tastes you may not something I desire, #3. While I tried tons of different cables from different manufacturers on my audio journey of 20+ years and so far preferred Transparent for audio cables, I never felt to label some of other brands/cables as inferior, rather I have thought that is not my preference or they did not create synergy with my system, #4.
If you think you have found a much better cable than Transparent for whatever you use it for, than I can only be happy for you.

Vivaldi clock arrived and integrated to Vivaldi setup via Transparent xl clock cables. First impressions: an improvement which is not subtle. Precision, timing, liquidity all improved. Upper frequencies are crystal clear while musical involvement is better, presentation is more relaxed. I was a bit reluctant to add clock but it seems guys at DCS know what they are talking about.
1. Already have. And I have the Transparent Cables so I've got skin here......
2&3. When was the last time u actually tried different cabling on Vivaldi? Transparent is defacto for many Vivaldi dealers so I'm willing to bet never.
4.Thank u
Suggestion: Just change out the Transparent clock cables in your system. Doesn't have to be expensive, say some Black Cat type digital's. (BTW they were $129). I think you'll be amazed
Anyway, just calling it as I hear it.
I'm happy you've found something you like better for clock cables. I've tried 3 versions of Purist, 2 versions of Cardas, stock and the Ref XL from Transparent which I like the best from what I've heard.
Are 'clock' cables single ended digital cables or something different?
They are single ended 75 ohm BNC terminated cables.

I have not tried it - I admitted this mode was intended for using non - DCS units with the DCS clock and other units.
Some CD transports known for their exceptional subjective sound quality performed poorly in jitter measurements - I can imagine that perhaps this mode is intended to synchronize such units keeping their sound identity.
I was advised to not use the clock when using the DCS Vivaldi DAC with the Metronome Calypso/Kalista CD transport.
I don't know if that was previously discussed here. Can Vivaldi users give me some feedback about their experiences for dither option at Vivaldi clock? I briefly tried it but so far prefer dither off.
Interesting,...did they mention the reasons?
