Critical Mass vs. Auva vs Gaia.

Over the past couple of weeks I've made two vibration control changes in my system. The first was replacing a set of three isoPucks with four Arya Revopods under my Aries Cerat Helene. I was hoping to replace the Helene footers completely with the Revopods but I discovered that the holes in the bottom of the Helene would have to be enlarged, so I opted for just placement at the moment. Unfortunately I can't comment on the degree of impact of the Revopods because of two other changes I made to the Helene at the same time (I added a SDFB and Herbie's damping rings). But the changes did yield a large increase in SQ and musicality. The second change I made just a couple of days ago, changing the isoAcoustic Gaia II footers under my Franco Serblin speakers with Carbide Audio- Carbide Base footers. I first heard of these footers on a recommendation from Steve Klein at Sounds of Silence. I ordered my sets with the Sapphire upgrade which is their middle of the line. I had been a long time fan of the Gaia's and the set on the Serblin's were my second set, the first were on a pair of Audio Physic Virgo 25's. Over the years I had used the Gaia's with and without carpet spikes. The build quality on the Carbide Base is amazing, like a Swiss tank. But the increase in SQ resolution is huge, the music has a clarity that I haven't experienced in my system before.
