I am a dealer and owner of CH Precision Products and I never shut them off. I might shut them down in a hurricane or someone violent weather event or if perhaps I was not going to be listening to them for an extended period of time. I have had my equipment for over three years.
I will say that 40 degree's is not the sweet spot for the amp. When you reach 48 degrees and beyond that "magic" really happens. If you never get it there in your listening sessions IMO you are missing what makes the amps special. Over my listening sessions the amp temperature sometimes reaches in the 50's and I am in heaven. I Leave the temperature in my room around 75 degrees. I usually, before I am going to listen, lower the thermostat a couple of degrees which is for my comfort and my guests comfort and then let the system run .
Trust me you can hear the difference. Try it, you'll like it!
