Current System:
  • Rega P10 / Rega Apheta 3
  • Gold Note PH-10 + PSU-10
  • Moon by Simaudio 641
  • Spendor Classic 1/2
New Setup (just purchased):
  • Dr Feickert Volare turntable with upgraded Feickert linear power supply
  • Kuzma Stogi tonearm
  • Looking for the right cartridge to complete this upgrade
Music & Sound Preferences: I primarily listen to funk, disco, jazz, and soul from the 70s and early 80s. I favour a warm, saturated, and natural sound - one of the reasons I love the classic midrange presentation I get from my 3-way Spendors. I'm seeking a cartridge that will lean into the emotional, fluid, and natural sound that this type of music thrives upon.

Cartridge Considerations: The Koetsu Urushi Black was at the top of my list, but I've also found a local dealer offering a low-hours Dynavector Te Kaitora Rua at around 40% off retail.

Request: I'd be very interested in hearing from anyone with experience using setups the same as, or similar to, what I'm putting together. Any listening notes, personal experiences, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
Daniel

With the Kuzma tonearm, I would consider a Kuzma CAR30 or CAR40 (if budget allows go for the 40).

For me, rather than the Feickert Volare TT, I would have gone for the Kuzma Stabi R TT or if funds wouldn't allow you to stretch to a Stabi R, then a Stabi S with a better arm than the Kuzma Stogi (although a very good arm for the price) a Kuzma 4Point 9" or even better (if funds allow) a Kuzma 4Point 11".

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up going with a Dynavector XV-1s - found a good opportunity on one and pulled the trigger. Appreciate you taking the time to reply!
