Capital Audiofest 2025

It’s not here yet so I guess I’ll start the thread. Who’s planning on going? I’m booked (just a civilian) and plan to attend.

I just looked at the CAF website and see that at 2 months away it looks like 23% of the exhibition / sales spaces are still shown as open. I don’t know if this is normal 2 months before a show, but I did notice on Saturday last year what seemed like a real decrease in foot traffic from previous years. Hoping for all the spaces to get filled up and a for a great show experience this year!

I will also be there, went last year as well, looking forward to hearing the Gobel's and the Cinnamon Cassia, the smaller Cinnamons, the Ellipticum, was one of my favorite rooms last year.

I wonder if the current air traffic / FAA issues are going to cause problems for the show? Between flight cancellations and forced landing rate slowdowns at major airports there may be issues.

Ive been thinking about the same thing, but ive had several friends take flights no worries over the last week or two, so here's hoping it all works out

I've traveled 3 out of the last 4 weekends. TSA lines are longer (to include TSA precheck and Clear), but no major delays or cancellations.

Where did you fly into? In the past week the NY airports (including EWR) and other major airports across the Country have implemented ground rate limitations, reportedly causing delays, and redirections for some landings. Last Thursday MCO stopped all incoming flights for a while. Reagan (likely used for many going to the show) has been reporting larger than normal numbers of flights delayed, and occasional ground stop periods.

Ive been thinking about the same thing, but ive had several friends take flights no worries over the last week or two, so here's hoping it all works out

My wife and I flew four times from 10/31 to 11/3 to/from multiple states and had no problems. All flights were on time and all flights landed a bit early. Everything came together as it should.
