I use an ibasso dx312 player and jh13 in ear monitors when i travel.
it not up to my stax007/T2 setup at home but quite nice on the road.
recently i purchased hifiman svarna wireless iem that use bluetooth and an LDAC
codec, not lossless but quite adequate for my pixel9 phone and the gym.

my question is, what have we learned from all of our obsessive (and hugely effective) efforts at improving digital playback that can be translated in the bluetooth/wireless world?

1. obviously a true lossless codec would help, but that requires a transmission medium with higher
bandwidth than the current bluetooth spec.
2. since we know clock accuracy and phase jitter are so important to digital sound quality, what changes
would make the bluetooth audio sound noticeably better? a more accurate transmit clock? lower latency?
3. anything else?

Great topic and we have too many choices
I use portable about half the time I play music. The codec choices are confusing
to make it more complex even a wired portable player connected to your phone has choices and limitations
Laslty I wonder how much different do these codecs sound ?
Is this a codec war like mQA ??

I'm not sure what would improve Bluetooth over all. There are so many ways to make changes .
One I use is fiio btr 17. It's big jump in sound over the btr7 in every way .
On the btr 7 USB was clearly above Bluetooth I felt .
On the btr 17 much closer I feel.
I use the btr 17 to feed a few amps for headphones. One is a woo wa5
The sound is blistfull. Really good to me . Over the years I've tried reclockers on them.
I think what ever they do is not worth trying to get more .
I have a bunch of ciems and iems ,have yours too. Still nice and neutral but there are many I feel are way above them now .
Um mason is one . I have a pair of status 3nc . They are hybrids once you get the tips sorted out one wonders do we need wires lol.
