Is Aesthetix Calypso Eclipse playing in the same league as a VAC Renaissance Mk 5 Pre? Im considering both but leaning towards the Aesthetix..

I founded BLINK HIGH END as a record producer - engineer - pianist. Music realism comes first, and I can say that neither me nor anyone else I know has heard a more realistic, and thus also ultra musical (ie fast, disappearing amp with great macro / micro dynamics) pre amp as the new AAVIK C880 , best enjoyed with the matching P880, both designed by Michael Borresen and Fleming Rasmussen (former chief designer Gryhon). Simply LOVE it. We also like Viola Labs SONATA Pre amp, designed by Paul Jayson, very much and CH precision does not disappoint, either.

I don’t doubt your listening impressions but how do they relate to the OP’s inquiry regarding the two highly esteemed tube preamplifiers?
