AXPONA 2025

And why would a good listening experience, whatever that means, would not coincide with a good measured loudspeaker?

This is a good question and I think the best loudspeaker should have both good measurements and good sound but the problem is most of the time the way designers choose to have better measurements is not the best way for human hearing system.

I am not audio designer so I can not introduce you much more information but I have a simple example. Imagine we need fast and low distortion amplifier, we have two ways to decrease distortion :
1- using better high quality low THD parts
2- using negative feedback

The second way is very effective but not ok for human hearing system.
The first way is depends on limits of parts and needs higher costs.
Now the designer decide how to solve the problem.

I think between modern speakers Gobel Majestic is a good example of perfect balance between dynamics, musicality and measurements.

At AXPONA 2025 Ron Resnick interviews Cyrill Hammer, Managing Director of Soulution. Cyrill discusses Soulution's sonic philosophy and design priorities. Cyrill also explains his preference for switch mode power supplies, discusses the long-awaited 717 amplifier and previews future component updates.

Please enjoy my interview at AXPONA 2025 with Lukasz Fikus, the Founder and Designer of LampizatOr. Lukasz explains the origin of the new Genya DAC, its circuit design, its sonic attributes, and compares it to the Pacific 3 and to the Poseidon. Lukasz also previews future LampizatOr components.

Please enjoy this video tour of AXPONA 2025.

The video production is very good, but honestly the sound is disappointing. You may want to consider investing in better audio recording equipment for these types of videos.
Thank you for the comment.

The sound is just background for the video of the room and system and components. I assume people know that one cannot learn about the sound of a system playing from digital recordings played over smartphone or computer.

However, I agree the sound is disappointing, and I would like the recorded audio to sound better. Doing the video, audio and interview entirely myself, in the time constraint of show conditions, I would have to think about how to switch external microphones for the purpose of recording the system. I will think about this for future interviews.

For interviews, there are good quality clip-on microphones which are convenient. Something like the Rode Wireless Go? There are many models. I think they should provide better quality sound than your phone, for room recordings as well.

Once again, congrats on the production.

For the interviews themselves I use professional quality Sennheiser wireless lapel mics and packs. But those lapel mics are not a good way to record audio from across the room.
