AVID ACUTUS SP TO SP REFERENCE or new Arm or what?

I heard a basic Avid with the SME V and the vdh master signature Stradivarius. It so eclipsed his other table combinations including three carts on the Bergmann Galder and one Garrard. He mentioned the reason was the SME V and the vdh, and whenever he places it on a table it sounds that way. Since you already have hurt SME V on your Avid, you should try the VDH Stradivarius

Thanks for the feedback, I listened to the VDH Stadivarious (1.1 Mv pau wood version) I found it a bit strident and from research requires rather exacting set up that I fear are beyond my skills (in fact I’m sure!!)
I ended up with an Esturo Bordeaux which I like a lot...

Apologies for reviving a dead thread. I've just ordered a twin SME 9 and 12 armboard for my Acutus. I plan on using the current SME V with Kleos and trying a few different 12 inch arms, possibly Ikeda, 3012R or ?.... I want to swap around carts, so the 12 must have a removable headshell. I have a variety of carts, including an AT 3 mono and a MusiKraft 103R.

Is that the double arm board? Ikeda 407 is a great arm as is SME 3012R and Glanz. You might need to check with Conrad about the tonearm mass compatibility with the acutus though.
