Hi everyone,

I’m looking for impressions from members who’ve heard or owned both the Audionet Humboldt and the Analog Domain Isis (or M75D/M75A).

My current setup is: Vivid Audio Giya G3, Lumin X1, and ZenSati cables, all in a medium-sized treated living room.

I’m particularly interested in how these two amplifiers differ in:

overall engagement and musical flow
tonal balance and body (midrange / bass weight)
soundstage depth and dimensionality
synergy with the Giya G3

If you’ve directly compared them—or even heard each in a similar system—I’d really appreciate your insights.

Thanks in advance!

Would also be interested in others direct experience

I have the Isis but no experience of the Humboldt outside shows. I have been exposed to a system with Stern/Heisenberg driving various speakers in a dedicated room.

The Isis is a fantastic amplifier, mine was essentially upgraded at AD from Mk1 to Mk2. The Mk1 is good, the MK2 is better, notably more transparent. It constantly surprises, revealing more as the system has developed around it.

The Audionets can sound wonderful, I don't doubt there is greater potential, as one would expect given the gulf in price. That said, everything has to be right in the setup. Wrong speaker or an implementation where practicality means the speakers can't be set up ideally and you'll hear it. A modest source will sound modest, the magic lost.

It's struck me when contemplating changes to my system that the AD Isis is very capable of delivering highend satisfying sound. I don't really want for more in the way I used too despite being exposed to many top systems in recent years. It suits my taste and my music diet. No great desire to change but always curious.

A Humboldt is double the price of an Isis, new and secondhand. I suspect based on hearing top Audionet that Humbolt might dig a touch deeper in the right system however funds saved buying the Isis would deliver considerably more invested in a really top notch source.

I haven't heard an integrated amp that can beat the Humboldt. Haven't made a comparison with the Isis but have with other candidates for best integrated.
