Advice needed - Hifi dual purposed with home cinema sound

My daughters want me to dual purpose 'our' listening room to include cinema!

I like getting away from the screen, but a large screen would fit nicely on the front wall between the SH50s I made.

They seem to do voice etc just fine centred nicely, so centre speaker not really necessary?
Couple of smaller rears and we'd be there..

The 2 tapped horn subs and the 2 SH50s, provide all the dynamics I could wish for..

The above is configured in a 4/5 way 2 channel hifi.
I stream Qobuz with Sonore Ultrarendu into a high quality DIYaudio project offering that does the 4 way DSP / X/O / preamp, outputting to be 5 power amps.
This does all the timing, PEQs and X/Os needed for the 2 channel.

Question is how to get the DSP'd / PEQs / crossovered SH50s and subs integrated with the rears in an AV cinema setup?

Is there a DSP capable preamp / 5.1 unit or something that could split off the 5.1 to my existing DSP 2 channel system as left and right, and allow rear speakers and subs to get what they need?

Would also need to work as a hifi 2 channel 4 / 5 way set up.

That's my conundrum.

Whilst I'm very into 2 channel, I haven't used a 5.1 amp Yamaha surround receiver in 15 years!
We have Sonos system with rears in the lounge for cosy TV watching.

The cinema room would the hifi room but with a 6 to 8 seater in 2 rows with full Danley dynamics for family movie only watching.

All help and advice gratefully received.

No expert!

Should be relatively easy to integrate the existing system. You should have line level outputs on the Pre Processor that can cover all channels. You can run left and right into a line level auxiliary input as needed.

Use the Pre-Pro to the power amps for the balance of the system and .1 for bass.

As far as a center can your stereo center image cover all the seats as well as a dedicated Center?

Atmos/Auro 3d type configurations did very well for such purposes.

sorry i did not see this thread until just now.

the Trinnov Altitude 16 ought to be able to accommodate your needs, and then some.....if you have the skills to put together what you already have done, then the Trinnov should be easy-peasy.

in my case i have a separate all analog signal path 2 channel room and also a home theater dsp based room. in my HT room i use the Trinnov processor for my 9.3.6 Dolby Atmos surround sound with a single channel of the 16 running my 3 subs. if i ran a 5.1 set-up i could then use the extra channels for splitting the frequencies of the fewer channels. you might find that the Trinnov could replace your other dsp product. or not. it's very flexible and reasonably priced in the context of 2 channel high end.

and the Trinnov sounds very good for music too. but it's all dsp all the time, no analog pass thru. industry standard support is included. designed to work with any of the all system control systems to make it easy for the family to use it (the kids are typically the most qualified in any case).

We moved the Sonos system up to the home theatre / hifi room for now.
Running just the Beam and rears for casual watching at the moment. - I also watch tennis there, TennisTV (all ATP matches) and French Open coming up soon.
For movies the Beam etc and my 2 channel in tandem certainly gives an experience.
The tapped horns can shake the room easily.
Have to sync the volumes manually, but for a movie that's easy done for the next couple of hours.

I'm experimenting with only certain drivers on at the moment.
Tapped horns for deep, mid bass and miss of the SH50s off, HF (Vitavox S2 on horn) on.
This mixed with the Sonos Beam as centew is giving interesting and dynamic blends.

Of course a full 11 channel+ control would be required to do all drivers I would want from one properly coordinated system.
The + being for things like upper centres front and rear, above seats etc. The list goes on..
20 channel Trinnov has that covered!

Trinnov does Atmos. However if you don’t want to spend you can look at much cheaper options in marantz and maybe others if you go to a local shop like seven oaks
