New Wadax Arcadia DAC....

Is there any information on the technical apricots? Is is FPGA or R-2R, chip used etc? Power supply and gain stage design?

Very few info on web.
I got its internal photos (from Audiotechnique magazine of Hong Kong).

Opps, I meant aspects not Apricots!!

It looks like a FPGA to me, see the chip cooling fins. Looks like a lot of open space for extra boards? External power supply so layout in your photo because of that.

Interesting. They have gone the Chord DAVE route? More info would be good....

Here are photos of the Atlantis PSU, again from the Audiotechnique magazine of HK.

Is the 2nd black plate slipped to the right? It looks like it on the photos.

Hi astro...

The two layers of black plates have a specific purpose both the position and the material.
The alloy is different (in total there are 3 different alloys in the chassis).
Mission is triple: balance between conduction of vibrations, controlled internal damping, manage the currents of the chassis towards the earth. Everything has to be a synergy.
Atlantis Dac has a separate power supply so there is no need to use this solution.

Regards...

I had not noticed, but it is true that the two black layers appear displaced, both in the pictures of Syerephonic and in mine.

So how was the sound as compared to the D-02X?
It would be amazing to read your comparison of the two.
Are the two close in sound quality?
What aspects were improved and any aspects not improved?
thank you

HiFim3.

I’m sorry. Everybody think i’m interested on Wadax.
Best way is listening both products by you to make your own opinion as i did.

Regards.

Hi Stereophonic , I read in the manual there are three output levels 1 / 2 and 4V, which one is the best in your opinion?
