I'm not very sold on these actors they chose. They're dialog sounds like **** and uncharacteristic for the characters they are... but the movie looks visually appealing.
The only reason I'm entertaining the possibility this could be good is because Rogue One was good (IMO, I guess, not everyone liked it). I don't expect these sub movies to live up to the original trilogy, but as just Sci-Fi StarWars fandom goes they could be pretty fun. As far as the main movies go, well, The Last Jedi surely was the Last Jedi under Disney's current agenda that I'd EVER pay money to see and wish I could get a refund. Sucked bird butts it did, with vigor.
But as I said this doesn't look promising, not when you think about how awesome Han Solo was in the original trilogy, before Harrison Ford let the fact that he didn't like Star Wars get to him.
We seem to be from the same consensus here, the few of us. ...The magic is no more today. It's all about cashing in without reinventing the wheel...a giant black hole with nothing inside...an infinite dark emptiness of wasted time in space.
This movie is coming soon. I don't think I'm going to go. I've learned some about how the leadership seat for Star Wars is shitting on all of it, and how it's entirely intentional to ruin it.
I'm not sure how many people will boycott it, but I hope a lot.
