Congratulations Audire! We just installed a full Vitus Masterpiece system for a customer. (Masterpiece stereo amp, Pre-amp, Phono pre, DAC and Transport) Out of the crate it sounded amazing - but like most high powered audio gear - it takes burn-in time for them to reach their pinnacle of...
Looking forward to having you over for a listen Ron! You might want to wait a few weeks until we get our new analog rig set up - I think you will enjoy that as well.
We are available to anyone that would like to listen to the Alsyvox Botticelli's. Ours have the optional external crossovers...
Ron,
The REX is heavily biased class AB, but those standard terms do not apply to it, as its tubes never go into cut-off, due to the unusual output bridge configuration.
It is not the traditional push-pull design. It is output bridge.

Hi Ron, I have a pair of BAT Rex II mono's and have the new Vitus SS-103 amplifier coming in a week. You are welcome to listen to them here or at your place - I am not that far away.

Ron, thank you for taking the time to provide such a thorough report of the Newport Show, complete with great photos. I wasn't able to leave my exhibit room, but reading your report was the next best thing!

Just a heads up, anyone interested in listening to the Vitus SIA-025 Integrated Amp - I will be featuring it at the Newport Show this year. I just received it today and it is gorgeous...

Should be fine, which amp are you looking at? I have heard the larger Altair's on 52 watt set amplifiers and it sounded great. I also heard the Avior's on a 100 watt integrated which was also very nice.
I have a pair of Atria's here in Orange county if you want to try them in your home...
Congratulations! The Atria's are awesome, there is really something special about them beyond what you would expect from Rockport. We are a dealer and have the Altair's, Avior's and Atria's here. I had the Atria's at my home for a while and loved them..
For what it's worth: I would bring...

Sammy, I recommend you try 400 - 600 ohms. Dynavector recommends >75 ohms, (that is the numeric value, so anything greater than 75 ohms, ie. 80, 100, 200, 300....). This cartridge will sound best somewhere between 250 and 600 ohms. Within that range will be the best sound...
One thing about the XV-1t, it doesn't come into its own until 30+ hours. I remember the day it broke in, it wasn't subtle or gradual, it suddenly sounded more open and extended. I think it was right about 30 hours...
I spent quite a lot of time adjusting the loading after it broke in and...
Thank you Steve for capturing the show (Since we were exhibiting - I couldn't leave my room to check very much out). Of course I saved some money by not being able to go downstairs and buy more albums from Chad :)

Have you listened to any of the Rockport speakers? I would add them to your short list to listen to...
(To be honest, I am a Rockport dealer) but they are very good and worth a listen. ;)
Roysen, I spoke to Andy Payor today about your concern. Let me know if you have specific questions and I can get Andy involved and see if we can get it taken care of.

Sorry for the late reply. The Arrakis and Altair are very similar in design, they both use the same composite cabinet construction materials and the driver / internal crossover technology is based on the same design. The Arrakis is not any more technically advanced than the Altair, the main...
We have a pair of Arrakis available for audition in Southern California (we are a Rockport dealer), a little closer than Maine...
We also have the Avior, Atria and Mira II.

We will have a pair of the new Rockport Atria at The Show Newport Beach this weekend for those interested in listening to it. We just got our pair last week and they are sounding wonderful. This will be a very popular speaker for Rockport. We will be at the Hilton room 509. Cake Audio
The Atria would work nicely in your room based on the dimensions. The Avior would have a better bass response and might be a better choice if your budget permits it. (IMO)
Ken
Yes, the Mira 2 has been discontinued. The Atria is a different design with different drivers than the Mira 2. The Atria uses the same drivers as the Avior, just one less 9" bass driver.
We are a Rockport dealer located in California, I listened to the Atria at CES and was very impressed. We have the Avior's and I am very familiar with their sound. The Atria sounds very similar to the Avior, but is better suited for modest sized rooms. There was a great coherency with the...
