The first trailer from Magico :

Are those 12" bass drivers?

The previous two versions of S5 got 10" woofers only, so ...

I heard that there would be a M5 following the S5 Mk3.
Will Magico reserve some goodies for the new M5?
:D

Just received pricing info (I assume this is USD);

S5 2024 MSRP $74,500 (Softec finish)
S5 2024 MSRP $83,000 (High Gloss finish)

The new S5 is a nice looking speaker in person. Nice curvaceous lines to its design. While it is significantly larger than the speaker it replaces (~31% more internal volume) it is much more svelte in appearance imho than the previous S5.

As a side note, in the video posted by CKKueng and in the attached photo, there is a rectangular platform under the S5 that is not part of the speaker. It was used at the show for display purposes only. My friend Jeff from Soundings, the Magico dealer in Denver, Colorado, was kind enough to pose in the attached to provide some scale to gauge the size of the new S5. Jeff is roughly the same height as I ; 6’ tall.IMG_2933.jpeg
Lighting in the room was not particularly good but I hope the photo provides some benefit for those not able to attend AXPONA in person.

First sighting for me that makes a sound (and a nice sound it is);

Several good frds of mine are in Munich.
All of them said that the new S5 2024 gave excellent sonic performance.

I have the S5's little brother, the S3s. While they don't have the S5s' bass response, their design and sound characteristics are as described by TAS' Tom Martin in his review of the S5s. What particularly stands out for me is that when I listen to music through these speakers, I am largely unaware of their presence. There's just the music and the performers.

Maybe this means Magico will announce delivery dates soon. I’ve had an order in since April and it’s been radio silence since I saw the static display at AXPONA 2024.

I'm using a S3 2023 too.

Me too.
Order placed and waiting eagerly.

And I'm coming from the A5. The S3 2023 really put me over the top on ordering the S5 2024.

This is the latest update I have received regarding shipments of the S5 2024.

My local dealer was informed that a pair of graphite grey S5 2024 will be shipped to them in October. This pair is headed to my home. Looking forward to a first hand demo although I realize it will likely require 400+ hours of break-in before they reveal their inherent character in the room.

Magico not only ramping up S5 2024 production but also the marketing machine. Is this a coincidence? ;)

Haven’t read Jeff Fritz commentary attached below, but I’m going to take a wild guess it is positive.
