Is there a retailer in the US selling Jan Allaerts cartridges, or must the cartridges be purchased elsewhere?

Any recent pricing on their less costly MC1Boron cartridges?

Thanks,

Larry

My dealer in Austin can order them. I have an MC2 Finish. Special Order on Allaerts and they are usually hand built just for you. So might take a few months from order to deliver. PM me for dealer info if you want to pursue.

The MC2 Finish is an outstanding cartridge. I might even consider selling it b/c I've been thinking about a MC1 Formula.

I spoke to my dealer on Fri. He is in contact with Jan and considering placing an order. They are available in the US.

My dealer says the most recent price was MC1 Boron to be $3500, MC1 Boron Mk. II $5500. However the pricing could have gone up recently. PM me if you want my dealers info. Thanks

My Allaerts MC2 Formula 1 arrived last week. I have about 30 hours on it. Jan says to give it 100 hours, readjust, and then enjoy for the next 10,000 hours.

What I can say now is this cartridge is different than the MC2 Finish. Just more of everything. It has a such a unique way of slowing down the tempo, but at the same time each note is quicker. It's a odd thing to describe. The net effect is it so effortlessly unravels the music, but at the same time more cohesive than anything I've heard before. The resolution is better than my Goldfinger Statement. A lot more to come as this gem settles in....I suspect it's still a bit reticent and time will allow it to bloom even more...
