New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

after all of this turmoil and waiting Have to admit that I am excited about the possibility of finally watching some basketball. All teams have to be free of injuries so I expect to see a lot of upsets as anything is possible

One thing for sure, it will really be strange watching a pro game without any cheers upon scoring. And I am just reminded that early on in this thread, the OP Ron Party was in favor of a title game in a neutral site, and amazingly, it is about to happen. In my youth, upon watching my first few NBA games on TV, I was really wondering why there was one team that when they scored, nobody cheered, not knowing there was such a thing as home court advantage. Now, we shall be seeing TWO teams scoring , and no cheering. :D

We‘ll be home screaming

Like I remember , Steve, I was in your home watching a Celtics game when Kyrie Irving hit a last second shot. It's nicer to scream with 2 people at home instead of 1. :D

I would take any comment by Matt Barnes with a grain of salt

I've listened to the podcast, All The Smoke, that Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson are doing. Talk about two guys who always lived (and played) on the edge.

It was somewhat entertaining but I agree that neither of those two guys would be among my most trusted sources for NBA information.

I always felt that Matt Barnes was the dirtiest player in the NBA

I thought this was a terrific gesture on the part of the Clippers today

The NBA and NBPA are expected to agree on a provision that wouldn't require players to restart the season, nor subject them to discipline for staying home, sources tell ESPN. The players would lose a portion of salary for those games missed.

--- lose a portion....?
I'm betting that there won't be many absentees especially in the top 4 teams in both conferences. There's still a title to be contested

I am just feeling that Kawhi doesn't need fans to boost his play, while Lebron is the reverse. His pre game powder slaps will have no audience. Will he still be himself? :D

For me it’s tough to predict based on past performance. With the shut down there have been no practices but everyone is healthy and this is why it makes for a level playing field. I expect some big upsets.

And without fans, a blowout early will have little chance of a comeback. No organ music, no chants for making a run. It's going to be a flat line.
