They ship worldwide and they have good English and excellent communication. At the moment, I find OP21A with external power supply is the best 1oMHz clock in the market by some margin.

Sorry for not being too much prepared...I own a Dcs Vivaldi dac + Vivaldi upsampler and I would add a clock to improve sound. Reading your words it seems I have to buy a Vivaldi clock plus a Mutec or OP21. That's correct? It is ok also if I add a clock from an other brand (which?) instead of Dcs?
What's your advice?

The best way is to add Vivaldi clock and 10MHz reference clock. Vivaldi system uses 44.1Hz and 48Hz or their multiples to function. There are clocks in other brands that can output 44.1Hz and 48Hz but they are not to the same level, at least not that I'm aware of.

Antelope 10MX can output 44.1Hz or 48Hz but it is not as good as the Vivaldi clock. I tried it in my system some years ago.

If you have Vivaldi DAC and upsampler but not using a good clock, probably you are only using 50% of their potential. Adding a good clock really takes their to a much higher level.

If you want to do some reading, go through this thread. It is very long, over 200 posts but they are informative. I actually compared Cybershaft OP20, OP21 and Mutec Ref 10. It was very interesting.

Adding the Vivaldi Clock is a significant upgrade by itself. I am guessing you can improve from there with the Mutec and OP21 at others have commented. But the dCS Vivaldi Clock is something once heard, you can't live with out.

Vivaldi clock is essential. Extra 10MHz clock with 120dBc@1Hz or above is a must if u use Vivaldi. It’s the difference like listening digital or analog.

Only ONE additional clock cable for the Mutec or Cybershaft, as Vivaldi Master Word Clock has a single 75 Ohm 10MHz reference clock BNC input!

No, but I've gone the other way. Had a Vivaldi Dac and Transport using a Scarlatti clock. The Vivaldi clock was a nice improvement in typical clock areas like resolution, timing, spaciousness, textures etc.

If you are planning to buy a Vivaldi Clock and eventually upgrade the Scarlatti pieces it's a good idea. I'd say a Vivaldi DAC + Clock and keep the Scarlatti Transport would be a future direction to consider.

That is helpful. The Vivaldi Clock is more affordable than the DAC so will probably pursue that and, as you suggest, move to the Vivaldi DAC at a later stage

Best Buy is Vivaldi One + clock if you can still buy. It’s a bargain for its config. Don’t buy Vivaldi if you hv no plan to get all 4 pieces + 10Mz clock. It’s so addictive.

Unless we are listening mainly to CDs and SACD's my bet would still be the Vivaldi DAC + clock + upsampler. The Vivaldi One sounds great, but IMHO there is a very perceivable sound quality difference between the One and the separates, although I recognize the digital and clock cables are a real mess!

dCS Vivaldi system was launched in 2012. After 8 years, dCS will launch a new flagship series very soon. Rumor is this year, but given the current pandemic, the launch will probably be delayed.

Another reason to stop the Vivaldi series is new disc transport mechanism from Esoteric is no longer available. dCS is using up her warehouse stock at the moment and has to leave some for future maintenance. Vivaldi transport will soon discontinue. Vivaldi One uses transport mechanism from Denon which is certainly not on the same league.

For those who are considering to upgrade to or going to buy Vivaldi, these are the factors to consider.
