Audiophiles, the one group not put out by Corona lol.
"Honey, when are you coming down?"
"Um, give it 4 weeks...I'll be ok, I have plenty of stuff to tide me over".

I'm wondering if it won't trigger some stock brokers to jump of? ...The ones who can't stomach it, with weak lungs. This is Coronavirus bear territory ... grizzly.

Norm, any recommendations for stress?

Our local pubs and restaurants doing ok up here in the country. The big Wetherspoons in town was doing stonking business here yesterday.

Congress just passed an $ 8 billion stimulus packag;)e..

I can’t believe the numbers from China showing the infection rate is going down. That makes no sense. China has millions of people, and many live in cities. Until this virus spreads everywhere the infection rate isn’t going down.

You can Google it and find out more ...

Meanwhile, from last week ...
https://www.theverge.com/2020/1/23/...a-wuhan-quarantine-who-sars-cdc-symptoms-risk

And the latest update, as in right now from what they know (Scientific data compiled & revealed, but not necessarily complete and totally accurate, that would be impossible) ...

We can only go with what they know and what they give us.
But if we follow the World Health Organization and the Health Scientists across the globe, including the CDC (U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), it looks and sounds ... serious, very. But that we already knew; what we truly don't know is how far will it go and that's the scariest part, I think...being in the unknown territories. If some think they know, I think they might find a rude awakening down the pipeline. The scientists that's what they say..."uncharted territory"; not me who said it.
Who knows we might get lucky and end up with only few more thousand deaths ...
...Or couple more ...

And who knows how many waves there are, and how long each wave will last ...

Italy's latest ...

All of Italy to be placed under lockdown conditions

https://www.theguardian.com/world/l...-australia-recession-fears-update-latest-news

All of Italy on lockdown – Prime Minister

"All of Italy will be placed under the lockdown conditions thus far imposed upon the so-called “red zone” in the north of the country, the Italian prime minister Giuseppe Conte has said.

The restrictions will include banning all public gatherings and preventing all movement other than for work and emergencies. According to the Reuters news agency, he has said the decision was necessary to protect Italy’s most vulnerable citizens and that the right course of action now is for people to stay at home.

All sporting events will be suspended, Conte has told a press conference. The country is grappling to contain Europe’s worst outbreak of covid-19, which has claimed 463 lives and infected a total of 9,172 people.

Conte added that he will sign the decree now and it will come into effect on Tuesday morning.

The announcement in Italy spells out the restriction of movement of more than 60 million people.

The decree provides for banning all public events, closing cinemas, theatres, gyms, discos and pubs, funerals, weddings and all sport events, including Serie A matches. All schools and universities will remain close until 3 April."

Note the ear protection.
LOL those are radios as they listen to the in car radios for the teams. Everyone has hearing protection there or you suffer hearing damage, i should have used my db app. I listen to the first couple laps then plug them up.

They supply headphones for everyone Mike?
Do you have to pay extra?

I know nothing about races, the sounds would distract me a little after a while.
For some films and documentaries ... Ford v Ferrari, Grand Prix, Super Speedway, Bullitt, Gone in 60 Seconds, Fast & Furious, ...yes, I'm into.

Most people rent them at the track, its very cool gives you a much better under standing of what it takes. The teams also have scrambled channels that they talk on at times as to not give the competition their strategy so easily.

One race I was listening to my boy Dale Earnhardt sr (RIP) and he was calling all the shots from the drivers seat and they kept falling back in the pack and finally his crew chief said " are you ready to listen to me now", a very unnaturally subdued Dale said "yes". From that point they talked it out, made the adjustments and got him on the podium at the race end.

I am here to tell you when 43 V8 engines with open headers come barreling at you it will change your life! Then comes the sweet smell of burning racing fuel! There is only one thing better then the smell of burning racing fuel!

Even if you are not into NASCAR you have to experience Speedway racing just one time in your life.

The movies have absolutely nothing on the real thing...NOTHING!

Not NASCAR but Oh to have been there for this!
